"The Well Driller's Advisory Board is made up of three licensed well drillers, all of whom are appointed by the state engineer. Two alternate members are also appointed in case any of the three primary members cannot make a scheduled exam, meeting or hearing. On a quarterly basis, it is the Board's responsibility for examining and interviewing potential licensees regarding their experience and knowledge of well drilling and recommend the State Engineer either approve or deny the license. The Board may also be called upon at well drilling disciplinary hearings. It is the Board's responsibility to make a recommendation to the State Engineer concerning the alleged infraction."
Authority: NRS 534.150
Well drilling regulations, NAC 534, are developed by the state engineer in cooperation with the Board. The Board can be contacted through the Division of Water Resources.
